Magictail Soft Bird Daisy Chain with Fuku Bullet – 5" & 7"
Magictail Soft Bird Daisy Chain – Surface Commotion, Fuku Bullet Depth
The Magictail Soft Bird Daisy Chain with Fuku Bullet is a complete teaser-and-lure system built to create the kind of surface commotion that pulls tuna, mahi, and wahoo from distance — then puts a hook in front of them. The soft bird chain skips and splashes across the surface, mimicking a fleeing school of baitfish, while the Fuku bullet trailing lure dives erratically below the surface to intercept fish that come up to investigate but won’t commit to a surface bite.
Available in 5" and 7" sizes across 7 colors, this is a versatile spread tool that works as a standalone daisy chain or as part of a larger teaser spread. The 7" is the go-to for big bluefin and marlin; the 5" covers mahi, wahoo, and smaller tuna.
How the System Works
- Soft bird chain – skips and splashes on the surface, creating a baitfish school illusion that attracts fish from distance
- Fuku bullet – trailing lure dives below the surface with erratic action, presenting a hookbait to fish that won’t bite on top
- Two-zone coverage – surface commotion draws fish up; the Fuku bullet converts them below the surface
- 5" size – ideal for mahi, wahoo, and smaller yellowfin; lighter, faster action
- 7" size – built for big bluefin, marlin, and large yellowfin; more water displacement and visibility
- 7 color options – Blue, Pink, Green, Purple, White, Rainbow, and Zucchini
Color Selection Guide
Blue & White – clean blue water standards that match squid and small baitfish. Green & Zucchini – strong picks around weed lines when mahi are present. Pink & Purple – high-visibility contrast colors that stand out in choppy or stained water. Rainbow – a multi-species attractor that works across conditions when you’re not sure what the fish are keying on.
How to Fish It
Run the daisy chain on an outrigger or flat line position. The chain works best at 8–12 knots where the birds skip and splash consistently. For a full teaser spread, pair the 7" chain on your long rigger with a 5" chain on the short rigger or flat line to cover multiple spread positions simultaneously.
