Magictail Fuku Squid Stinger – High-Speed Squid Trolling Lure for Tuna, Mahi & Wahoo

The Magictail Fuku Squid Stinger is a soft squid-style trolling lure built for high-speed offshore trolling. The Fuku Stinger design features a flexible squid body with a stinger hook configuration — the body undulates and pulses at trolling speed, mimicking a fleeing squid with the kind of erratic, lifelike action that triggers aggressive strikes from tuna, mahi-mahi, and wahoo. Available in 7" and 9" sizes across 5 colors at $39.99.

Size Selection Guide

7" – the versatile all-around size; matches smaller squid and flying fish profiles; effective for schoolie tuna, mahi, and wahoo at 7–10 knots. Works well on the short corner and flat lines in a standard spread. 9" – larger profile for bigger fish; matches larger squid and ballyhoo; preferred for big-eye and yellowfin tuna, large mahi, and wahoo in blue water. Run on the long corner or shotgun position for maximum coverage.

Color Selection Guide

Purple – the classic squid color; highly effective in blue water for tuna and wahoo, especially in low light and overcast conditions. Blue – matches blue runner and flying fish; a natural choice in clear offshore water. Green – strong mahi color; works well in green or mixed water and around weed lines. Pink – high-visibility attractor; proven for mahi and wahoo in bright conditions. White – matches ballyhoo and squid in clear water; the most versatile all-conditions color.

Trolling Tips

Troll at 7–10 knots for optimal action. The Fuku Stinger performs best when it’s skipping and diving just below the surface — adjust leader length and trolling speed to dial in the action. Run multiple colors in your spread to cover different baitfish profiles and find what the fish are keying on that day.
